Floating solar in Florida

Ciel & Terre, the pioneers of floating solar worldwide, once again breaks boundaries in the solar market by building the biggest floating PV system in Orlando, Florida (US). Through Ciel & Terres patented Hydrelio technology, they came together with the Orlando Utilities Commission to build a 31.5 kWp floating array in the storm water storage reservoir located at OUC’s Gardenia facility.

The electricity produced there will generate up to 51,000 kWh per year, and will either serve some of the OUC’s usage on-site or be put back into the grid. By integrating C&T’s expertly designed floating solar technology, it expands the OUC’s portfolio for new means of acquiring sustainable energy as well as opens doors to integrate more solar in Florida.
