Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited, which markets its products under the brand Yingli Solar, today issued a statement in response to petitions filed by SolarWorld Industries America Inc. with the US Department of Commerce and the US International Trade Commission.
"We and our counsel are reviewing the petitions, which have just been filed. We would like to remind everyone that such petitions obviously present only the views of one side and only a partial view of a very complicated story. As a New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)-listed public company with global presence, we have been holding ourselves to the highest standard of fair international trade practices. We are confident in our position and we intend to mount a vigorous defence. We are committed to the US market for the long run, since we have faith in our products and technology and believe that we are well positioned to continue to compete effectively in the US market."
Headquartered in Baoding, China, Yingli Green Energy's manufacturing covers the entire photovoltaic (PV) value chain, from the production of polysilicon through ingot casting and wafering, to solar cell production and module assembly. Yingli Green Energy distributes its PV modules to a wide range of markets, including Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, France, South Korea, China and the US.
