Schiller Automation GmbH & Co. KG, a provider of production solutions to the solar industry, looking ahead to the coming year, sees opportunity in photovoltaics (PV).
While many of the solar module producers and companies that supply them see difficult times ahead, Schiller Automation plans for growth in PV and related markets.
For more than 30 years, Schiller has worked in automation and process equipment for advanced manufacturing in PV, as well as the microelectronics, automotive and energy technology markets. It provides complete fabrication solutions with a focus on high-throughput, high-yield processing, material handling and software products that many solar companies use. The process flow is centralised, utilising Schiller BackBone and Pro-Load to create flexibility while reducing redundancies to drive down the cost of production.
Schiller has strategic partnerships with providers of advanced chemistry in adhesives and etching. Working in partnership with the chemical developers has resulted in the most advanced process tools for dispensing bulk chemicals. New systems are now available for junction box applications, back plate and rail attachments, and framing systems. In addition, Schiller has developed specialty process tools for cell processing that increase efficiencies.
