Last Friday, the Spanish government decided to temporarily suspend all financial supports for new installations of renewable energy sources for the time being.
The measure will take away all feed-in-tariffs from new installed solar, wind and other renewable energy installations. Already operating installations as well as plants under construction are not affected. While the suspension is not permanent and the government does not see the renewable energy targets set by the EU to be affected, it also made no comment on how long the measure would be in effect.
