PanelClaw today announced the addition of the Kodiak Bear FR flat roof solar mounting system to its portfolio of ballasted systems. Available in 15- and 20-degree tilt angles, Kodiak Bear features maximum factory integration, integrated wire management and multiple row-spacing options for increased energy production. The new system will debut at Intersolar North America, 10-12 July, at booth #9023.
Among Kodiak Bear’s advancements is a highly engineered ballast block exclusive to the system. The 8,000psi concrete block, manufactured to rigorous quality standards, is designed for optimal freeze-thaw resistance and secure stacking. Its durability and precision will ease system deployment from design through commissioning.
Kodiak Bear features just three major components, and a single loose fastener, which the company says makes is simple to install. The system’s supports are constructed from galvanized steel tubing, which is easy to handle and eliminates metal edges near roof surfaces. As with all PanelClaw systems, Kodiak Bear’s module-attachment Claw is suited for use with a wide variety of photovoltaic modules. Its single-module layout flexibility and optimized array footprint easily accommodate even complicated layouts.
Additionally, Kodiak Bear is available with a flexible wire management tray that integrates with the system’s recycled rubber roof pads.
PanelClaw's ballasted flat roof and ground mounting solutions secure more than 1 million solar panels worldwide. Kodiak Bear joins the Polar Bear FR and Grizzly Bear FR systems, expanding PanelClaw's portfolio of modular flat roof products to include tilt angle options of 5, 10, 15, and 20 degrees.
