Atlas Material Testing Technology will exhibit several weathering testing programs and products for the solar industry at Solar Power International 2012, 10-13 September in Orlando, Florida (Booth #2756).
These include:
- Atlas 25+, a proprietary, multi-dimensional durability test program designed to subject photovoltaic modules to the environmental degradation stresses that can be expected over long-term service. The test program also provides a missing component to the IEC type design qualification tests.
- Atlas’ integrated, ready-to-use test chambers for various solar and environmental applications. Solar Technology by Atlas combines experience in environmental simulation with metal halide lighting technology. For PV-related applications, 3D automotive or plastics components or electronics products, Atlas’ solar environmental chambers can meet industry standards such as IEC 61215 and IEC 61646 or DIN 75 220.
- The Suntest XXL/XXL+ is Atlas’ largest flatbed xenon instrument. Its 3081 cm2 specimen tray can test three-dimensional parts and large components like crystalline and thin-film mini modules. The instrument meets or exceeds all primary internationally recognized weathering standards.
- The XenoCal Solar Sensor (pictured) is designed for easy and accurate measurement and calibration of a variety of light sources including UV-preconditioning test conditions in accordance with IEC testing standards for crystalline (IEC 61215) and thin-film(IEC 61646) PV modules.
