Kyocera International, Inc. today announced the promotion of William J. Edwards from Vice President and Treasurer to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective April 1, 2010.
Mr. Edwards joined Kyocera in 1984. His 26-year career with the company has included steadily expanding responsibilities in the financial, accounting and administrative management of Kyocera’s North American operations. He will continue to report to Kyocera International, Inc. President John S. Rigby.
San Diego-based Kyocera International, Inc., the North American headquarters for Kyocera Corporation, is a holding company for five wholly owned subsidiaries in the US and one in Mexico. Kyocera Corporation is the parent and global headquarters of the Kyocera Group, was founded in 1959 as a producer of advanced ceramics that are used in solar power generating systems and other technologies.
