According to the most recent issue of the "Monthly Energy Review" by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), with data through the end of 2012 renewable energy sources and natural gas expanded rapidly during the Obama Administration's first term while coal, nuclear power, oil imports and use, energy consumption, and CO2 emissions all declined significantly.

Panelists at the American Solar Energy Society (ASES) National Solar Conference taking place in Baltimore 16 to 20 April, will unveil the misinformation at the heart of these efforts, and address ways to counter the opposition.

Wholesalers and project planners are increasingly demanding European modules to avoid paying backdated anti-dumping duties for modules made in China. This development has already started to create a significant rise in demand for European-made modules from German-Scandinavian manufacturer Innotech Solar (ITS). On 6th June, the European Commission will decide whether provisional anti-dumping and countervailing duties should be imposed on solar modules imported from China.
