Trojan Battery Solar Lighting Project Wins Middle East Award

Trojan Battery Co., a manufacturer or deep-cycle batteries, has received the “Application Solar Project of the Year” award at the Middle East Electricity 2013 tradeshow held in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.). Trojan’s renewable energy group and Trojan’s master distributor Hydroturf International were recognized for the implementation of a solar-powered rural street lighting project in 2012 which was commissioned by the country’s Ministry of Public Works. This solar lighting project is the first of its kind to be established in Dubai, U.A.E.

The HBFMMJ-ES50, also known as the Tigo-Amphenol Optimizer, is the first in its class to receive CSA certification for integrated Smart Module technology, the company says.
Panasonic Enters Alliance With Power-One

Panasonic Corporation today announced that it has entered into a strategic alliance agreement with Power-One.
The agreement aims for the global promotion of energy management businesses, such as stationary power storage systems. In the agreement, the two companies have agreed to jointly develop the business of nonresidential and industrial large-scale power inverters in Japan. Panasonic will expand the nonresidential and industrial energy management systems business.
Draker Clarity DC Selected for 2MW Solar PV Plant

Draker has been selected to install its fully integrated Draker AC and Clarity DC panel-to-grid (P2G) monitoring solution at a 2MW AC site, the largest installation to date for a fully integrated Draker AC and Clarity DC monitoring system.
The solar PV plant in Massachusetts (US) is a fixed mount, 600V system with utility grid interconnection.
