In a recently approved transaction, Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) will guarantee a US $780,000, 10-year loan to be made by UPS Capital Business Credit to finance the export of photovoltaic solar modules from Suniva, based in Norcross, Georgia (US), to a rooftop solar-power project of Grupo Metal Intra (GMI), a prefabricated-building company in Mexico.

The polysilicon market research firm projects the global polysilicon net demand, including that of the semiconductor industry, but excluding the consumption of inventories, will amount to approximately 250,000 metric tons (MT) this year.
