Upsolar Develops First Project in Greece

Upsolar_KozaniUpsolar, a provider of solar PV modules, today announced the completion of a 1.5MW solar electric system in Kozani, capital of the West Macedonia region in Greece. This marks the first installation in the region completed by Upsolar’s Project Development Department.

AES Solar Aprilia solar plant in Lazio, ItaliyAES Solar announced today that it closed on €77 million of long-term non-recourse financing for Elpida, a portfolio of 10 solar PV power plants totaling 27MW, located in the Lazio and Sicily regions of Italy. The financing facility closed in May and was used to refinance the equity advanced during construction of the Elpida project.

Mecasolar  Launches 140kWp Horizontal Single-Axis TrackerMecasolar today announced a new 140kWp horizontal single-axis solar tracker.

The solar tracker’s modular, low-height structure results in simple assembly that does not require cranes or lifting equipment. The company says the solar tracker can increase power output by 30%, depending on the latitude of the location, as compared to fixed systems because of the horizontal tracking function.
