AES Solar announced today that it closed on €77 million of long-term non-recourse financing for Elpida, a portfolio of 10 solar PV power plants totaling 27MW, located in the Lazio and Sicily regions of Italy. The solar tracker’s modular, low-height structure results in simple assembly that does not require cranes or lifting equipment. The company says the solar tracker can increase power output by 30%, depending on the latitude of the location, as compared to fixed systems because of the horizontal tracking function.
