Q.Cells today announced that Q.Mega, the company’s 1.4-megawatt standard block unit for ground-mounted systems, has been awarded the The VDE (Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) Quality Tested certificate for managed planning and correct construction.
The independent testing institute presented the certification to Q.Cells at the 27th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition in Frankfurt.

The exhibition that opened yesterday in Frankfurt had a much lower turnout in comparison to the show last year in Hamburg. However, although the visitor level appeared lower as in previous EU PVSEC shows, the quality of the meetings appears to be good. Inaki Legarda-Ereno, Solar Business Director of Mondragon Assembly, who is showing his new Tabber & Stringer TS 1200+ module production line, stated that his company always found this show very valuable.

The Schmid Group today announced an efficiency record of 20.74% in an industry-like production process for PERC solar cells, which has been confirmed independently by the ISE CalLab.
