The solar industry is an important source of employment for returning veterans, who comprise 10% of the solar workforce, exceeding the 7% percent of veterans in the broader US workforce. With nearly 200,000 veterans exiting service annually, their skills, leadership abilities, and technical training are in high demand, and well-matched to the growing hiring needs of the solar energy industry.
Solar Ready Vets provides our transitioning service members (soon-to-be vets) with solar industry training and the opportunity to interview with some of the nation’s leading solar companies. Every graduate of our program has gotten at least one solar job offer.
